New car - Need new golf trolly

I'll bite.

I'll bite back. ;)

Take your clubs out when not at the course? I always take mine out to replenish supplies and give the clubs a clean, especially in this weather. Theres no excuse for dirty clubs at the first tee, or a smelly car. It doesn't matter if it's in plain view or not, if it gets nicked you have no recourse anyway.

I do take them out when not at the course. But I put them in the car when I've finished playing whilst I'm having a drink or a meal, and I don't want them on view for someone to help themselves to whilst I'm doing that. As for your last comment, utter cobblers. My insurance will pay out if they are in a locked car out of sight, in plain view I get nothing. And how do you get to the conclusion that my clubs are dirty or that my car is smelly because it is big enough to comfortably carry my golf gear?

Any car will comfortably take golf gear. As previously stated, I have one friend with an mx5 and one with a Ferrari 458 (lucky bugger). they can both transport themselves to our golf days, and believe it or not they arrive with clubs and trolleys! I admit they can't take passengers, but even my tiny fiesta can fit 2 people in there golf gear in (can do three people but then the rear view is obstructed)

Yep, the MX5 takes them so comfortably that your mate has the roof down……. What happens when it rains? Not every car will comfortably take golf gear, as your two mates prove; depending on how the clubs are loaded into the passenger compartment, they put themselves at risk of getting a fixed penalty ticket.

See point above about removing clubs from car when not in use.

See my response that I do.

My point is it's much easier/cheaper to not be lazy and bring your clubs with you when your not travelling to and from a golf club. Or even buy a slimline trolley or bag (as the main point of this thread). Than buy a new/different car that you can keep it all in (the way this thread has turned out)

Where do you make the leap from the fact that I prefer to have a car with a boot big enough to take all my gear without emptying the bag or putting it in the passenger compartment that I'm lazy & leave the clubs permanently in the car? My point is why would you knowingly buy a car that is worse than useless at transporting the equipment required for your main hobby? That seems ridiculous to me.
