new cally driver

I think Callaway have been rather disappointed with the sales of the Extreme, so may have felt the need to rush out some more product. Although I think this new stuff fits into a different category, with its ultralight shaft (43g) and emphasis on increasing clubhead speed for distance.

The spec on the xtreme was never going to make it a big seller. Low launch, low spin shaft, with a low spin head. Good combination for me, but the market for this is a bit niche.

Best thing to do is keep what you have if it works, ignore the marketing hype with these products and concentrate on your game.

Indeed!

Very expensive - and rather daft imo - keeping up with the latest model!

Every 3 years is more than enough now that they've all been max-ed out. The Marketing tricks, like super-light and long shafts, might get 'better' numbers, but are likely to only be appropriate for a few users!
