Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy my first set of clubs and have only just started playing the game. £150 to £200 is about my maximum budget so i was wondering what people recommended i should go for.

I have looked at the Ben Sayers M7 2009 package and was thinking about this one. Does anybody have any info on these on whether they're decent enough to get me going.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks :)

Welcome to the forum.
See your local pro and ask about used clubs. Cheap sets tend to have poor quality woods. And you may find that a half set will suit you best for the near future.
Good luck.

Go to a golf shop that takes trade ins and get a second hand set after some advice from the pro. Ideally have him see you hit some balls first. Second hand clubs are great value so long as they are suitable.

Once you get a settled swing and know how you hit a ball, then consider getting a new set.

I'd go down the second hand route too, cheaper quality clubs will always play better than poor new clubs plus there is no VAT so one in the eye of the chancellor.
