Basically, I have tried several amounts of irons, and don't known which ones to try ,so I would not mind some recommendations .
Basically I will describe my game to you:
I am a 24 fairly fairly consistent player. I hit a slight fade with irons, which doesn't bother me. I struggle with long irons, and even when I hit with them I struggle to get distance. From 6 upwards I am okay, but with all my irons they never "feel " good, if you understand what I mean. At the moment I am using the Nike vr full cavity , and I find them too forgiving. Due to their chunky look, I don't feel very confident with them.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah, and I'm a fairly thin 6 foot tall 15 year old :)
Irons I have tried so far:
Vr split cavity (good)
Mizuno jpx pro (very good)
Ping i15(good)
Taylormade mb (bad)
Ap2 and ap(bad)

At the moment I am using the Nike vr full cavity , and I find them too forgiving.

too forgiving eh?

or "don't like 'em cause they're chunky and ugly" :D :D

Can't see why anyone would overlook Titleist AP1.

Currently the old ones are going for around £350. Forgiving and beautiful.

You would probably like a progressive set, but I don't know who's doing them. I have some (Mizuno MX900) but don't use them all.

I have Callaway 4-8 and Mizuno 9-PW, a mix and match.

Haha shhhhh dave lol.
Imdunno the ap1's just didn't really suit me .
Gonna go down to the range tomorrow and try the i15 g20 g15 and ap1's and r11.
Let's hope I make up my mind

Keep what u have and learn to hit them.

Dont think splashing the cash will make u any better

Andy

Or a nice second hand set of Ping S57's! If only I knew anyone selling a set.

I know my iron play isn't bad physically.
To be honest, it's just mentally . I don't like the full cavity.
And it's either therapy or new irons, hmmmm.... :)

Give the new G20's a go. Had a look at them today and they sat very nice. They don't seem as chunky as their predesessors (sp?)
