Should really change your name to suit your abode .

Should change it to Im never wrong Phil, that would suit , I'm at a lose to see what the Scotland qualifier has to do with you as you won't be attending, i can see that Patrick put his name forward to organise a Scottish one ,theres no point in having 2 as there isn't the bodies anymore, in days gone by that wasn't a problem but guys have left for various reasons.

Well actually im visiting Scotland in the middle weeks of March and could possibly be able to tie in playing in the area if it was near where we were going to be - but ill give it a wide berth now as you make it so attractive to play with the scottish people

Good for you but i think we re playing in April at Nairn i might be wrong.

Hence why i was possibly interested in when and where Virtuocity could possibly looking to organise one nearer the border - but with the reaction im goign to guess he will give it a wide berth also.

Didnt realise looking to play in a forum meet or possibly organise one was going to cause so much trouble.

It isn't a problem, but as usual you to to much to say about it,let Patrick and Virtuocity sort it out,

All i said it im sure Scotland is big enough to have two events and i cant see what the issue is and why the reaction Patrick has had - especially towards someone who put some much work and effort into last year.

I saw what Virtuocity did last year and a top job he did at that, one which was a thankless task, but let the 2 of them sort it out between them. Yes its a big enough place but theres not the bodies here anymore, i might be wrong but some guys might do both if the courses are top notch. In times gone by most of the guys would have supported both as we've had some cracking days ,weekends away. I just don't think it needed input from elsewhere

And i dont think Patrick needed to react like he did in public towards Virtuocity hence why i said what i did

But we will go round in circles and i hope Virtuocity isnt put off by the reaction towards him

Right I suggest a mixed Lichtenstein texas scramble foursomes, played of 3/8ths on New brighton crazy golf wonderland at 3 am start on Tuesday 4th January.

Bacon rolls included and 8 pints of stella. £35

I don't want to throw a spanner in the works but does New Brighton have red tees for the ladies??

Oh......and can I have cider instead of Stella?

A while back you could have got a few Scottish meets but not nowadays, we used to have a cracking squad of lads who'd meet up.

We still can ;)

yep Craws meets used to reg get 20 +guys a few times a year as steve says lucky if you you get one meet with 10 now

There are still a few ongoing, maybe not in the 20 people mould but double figures.

Google says from my home to Nairn gc. its 180 miles estimated travel time 3 hours 14 mins. Royal Liverpool gc. is 221 miles estimated travel time 3 hours 40 mins.

Not quite 3 hours 40 but not far off, easy road trip.

Yes I have an abundance of red paint I can use.

Womens CSS for Louise: Cigarette super strength:ears:

Mens CSS: Cider special strength:thup:

seeing a post in AAG section for notts/derbys/lincs, went to Woodall with LQ last year. Any chance of again this year or elsewhere.
I see on sunday 15th march Lindrick have tee times for £160 whether they'd do a deal for a meet.

Lol just looked at this thread for the first time in a number of days.

Not put off by anything  I'm no longer organising an event- that's mad Val's job now :ears:

Once again, fair play to D4S for taking this on. Organising and liaising with the final venue, taking in fees by PayPal, cheque (???) and bank transfer, organising a regional event, receiving and answering around 100 PMs, chasing up money, organising prizes and trophies, working with regional co-ordinators (who are a life-saver) all to try and create something fun for people I only converse with on an internet forum was just about worth it for me (I think meeting some lovely people at St Andrews and the Southport nutters swung it!!)

@stevek1969 I have nothing to "sort out" with Patrick. In fact, I can't think of a single thing I need to, or want to say to him at this moment.

I wish all of the regional co-ordinators luck with their event given that they are all working TOGETHER to add value to the overall competition. I'm sure that everyone will get some great deals and numbers will be big.
