MyHermes trying to rob me!

Never understood why people dont leave ebay feedback, I think they simply cant be bothered and likes been said how can ebay function properly without it?.

I am a bit skeptical of Hermes.

Today I had a driver delivered via hermes, the tracking said signature from neighbor so I popped home to get it. My neighbor said they hadn't got anything.. I opened my front door and found the slip saying 'over gate at rear'. I then found it in the middle of my garden so he obviously just launched it over the fence and did one. Not great.

Also at work, a Hermes driver dropped something off in the drivers reception and before leaving helped himself to a load of other boxes that had been delivered. It was on camera so I'm guessing he was sacked as he never came back again.

From my experience DPD or Interlink have been faultless and I wouldn't use anyone else when sending, and would happily pay extra to receive parcels via them - You get a 1 hour delivery window and can track their progress on a map. I can watch him right up until 2 deliveries before mine, i can then jump in my car and pop home from work and pull up on the drive just as he does. Perfect. No slinging parcels over fences, no leaving on the door-step and no claiming they 'couldn't find the house'!

I can't believe anyone still uses Hermes. They're a dreadful, unreliable courier. I had a driver delivered by them not long ago and it was left on my doorstep, in plain view of any passer by. When I checked the website I had apparently signed for safe receipt of it.

I recently had cause to speak to one of their drivers regarding another matter at work, and he confirmed my suspicions. It seems many of them are agency staff, and they suffer financial penalties if items remain undelivered.

I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

I've used them a lot and they've been very reliable. The one occasion they were not they lost a set of irons I sold. The refund process was super smooth &, because they refunded the P & P charge, I made more than I would have done had they delivered them. Personally, I'm reluctant to bid for low value items when the P & P is around £12, which it often is with Royal Mail, and I think that sometimes the P & P cost means the difference between selling an item or not.

This latest dispute caused a bit of inconvenience but I still got the item delivered for less than £4.

I once had a club delivered by them. I was out and they just chucked it over the side gate into the alley way and didn't even bother to leave a note saying they'd done so. I was about to lodge a "where is my item" question on ebay when I went into the alley way for something else and saw the club lying there on floor.
Not good.

Had this same problem. Spoke to customer service and they sorted it. I only complained as I knew I wasn't over. Had it another time before that one and wasn't sure so assumed I had it wrong, makes me wonder!
