Face on, fantastic. Will see you over many years. From down the line, I think you could have the ball slightly further away, and look less cramped.

Overall, nice swing.

Quietly turning green with envy. Youth, nice swing, grrr.

It would be great if you could provide me with a little bit of info about your whole game. I posted some questions on a previous page.

Looks like a quality motion that certainly has potential

I would make you more aware of your centre of balnace throughout your swing
At address I notice that you have excessive knee bend. I like to see the hips, knees and balls of your feet all be in line. I like the knees to be flexed NOT bent. If they bend then you will see your weight at address will sit towards your heels.

If you look carefully you then counter balance this position at address with a movement towards the ball as you move the club to the top of the backswing.

Try this
When practising, set up standing on top of a old shaft or bamboo cane. The shaft/cane should sit underneath the balls of your feet, running parallel to the ball to target line(also can ad alignment)
You should maintain your balance over the top of the shaft/Bamboo throughout your swing

Many coaches nowadays work with force plates. You stand on them when making a swing and they monitor your weight transfer and downward pressure during yur swing. Your weight would start towards the heels, move towards your toes on the way back and then it would be difficult to maintain balance and power consistently.

Start to become aware of your weight distribution at address and to the top of your backswing. It will make for a easier and repeatable impact position/forward motion.

I look forward to hearing how you get on

Thanks Neil, I'm up the club tomorrow from about 9 (won't tee off till 12.30) so I have the time to practice this. In answer to your questions:

Do you have regular coaching at the moment? If yes, what have you specifically been working on?

No.

What do you consider to be the strengths of your game?
Weaknesses?

I would consider my strengths to by my driving and bunker play. My weakness would have to be everything else, mainly putting.

How often do you play/practise?

As often as I can, about twice during the week and a few hours on a saturday and sunday.

What is your scoring average/handicap?

I play off 15, and will generaly shoot around that score but I'm annoyed when I shoot over it because I know I'm better.

Do you keep stats?

I know I should but I don't.

What is your strike/shot/shape pattern for the following clubs
Driver/Tee shots

Depends where the ball is in my stance, near the left heel its a draw.

Fariway woods

Don't have any.

Rescue Clubs

Draw.

Long/medium irons

Fade/Push.

Short irons

Straight.

Thanks again Neil, I think it's great that you can spare the time.

Your swing is much better than your handicap would suggest. I've seen kids playing off single figures with swings that don't look like that.
Do you struggle with the 'money shots' i.e. chips, putts etc?

Hit the nail on the head golf_bug. I practice these a lot and haven't really seen any benifits, yet. Still, roll on the summer :D.

You seem to suffer the same golf ills as me then. Tee to green I am generally ok and set myself up to make plenty of pars, but dffed chips and 3 putts are killing me. I keep telling myself it is because the greens are being prepared for the new season. But it's probably because I suck big time at putting!
