Well guys thats me just home after bee offshore for 2 weeks and was looking really forward to coming home to begin to play golf again. I was really good and was in the gym while i was away taking it easy and also watching what i was eating etc.

I also was reading darren clarkes book " the mind factor " really interesting book anyway.

But i am unable to play golf this 2 weeks am home as the last few days of working as my job is very phyisical i ended up riping the tendings in both my arms. I knew i had done something to them but i had to continue working but am home now and am resting for the 2 weeks.

really gutted as i wanted to play this time home aswell. Fingers cross they will heal and i might beable to hit a few balls before i go back.

Gutted for you mate. Best to get your fix here I'd say, not the same but better than nothing. Hope you heal quickly and get out there before the fortnight is up.

Dont rush back, makes sure you are 100% fit before you even think about picking up a club, however tempting it is. I was foolish and played with a sore knee and made it worse, now i have to wait longer to play.

Best to take it easy and get 100% fit - you'll be more gutted in 4 weeks when the courses are in better condition with warmer weather and you still can't play cos you rushed back now.

A colleague at work had his hip done in early Dec and is trying to hard to rush back - he's planning on playing at Easter, but I say he's mad cos he's still limping quite badly and a five mile walk with lots of hip twisting will only land him back at the hospital.

Sometimes you have to let nature run its course.

Hope you put a HELP/STOP card in at work about your injuries!
You can't work like that if it continues to cause you pain or discomfort.
Ergonomics man Ergonomics!!

no my injuries were not reported as i knew it was due a injury that happened months ago coming back and i was only into my last few days before coming home.

More hassle than its worth reporting it also i was covering a higher position than i normally do anyway.

I was quite sore this morning and i took some tablets and feel quite good at the moment but will rest them anyway

doesnt help swinging sledge hammer for 12 hrs a day for 3 days lol

I hear it wasnt a work related injury in the first place fairmon, its pretty hard going weeks away without any women about! :D

Kidding, its hard to take when you love playing golf and because of a physical problem you cant get out, just when the weather etc was looking fine too!

well i can hardly feel any pain in my arms now i think i just needed a good rest which i have over the weekend but will see how i go over the next week anyway.
