This will probably bore the pants off most people but I'm writing it anyway!
I played today and decided to record every shot I hit for the first time to see where my game needs improving. I've read on here a few times about recording stats and think its a good idea.
This was my round.
1st 328yd par4. 4- hit fairway, Greens Side Bunker, up + down
2nd 150yd par3. 5- Green Side Bunker, 2xbunker shots, 2 putts
3rd 386yd par4. 4- right semi rough, Right Hand side of Green, up + down
4th 186yd par3. 4- GIR, 3 putts
5th 405yd par4. 5- right semi rough, 60 yds short, chip on, 2 putts
6th 175yd par3. 4- left trees, chip on, 2 putts
7th 413yd par4. 5- hit fairway, 100yds short, right hand side of green, up + down
8th 340yd par4. 4- left trees, 15 yds short left, up + down
9th 365yd par4. 5- left trees, chip out, hit green, 2 putts
10th 213yd par3. 4- left trees, hit green, 2 putts
11th 129yd par3. 5- left trees, duff chip, chip on, 2 putts
12th 375yd par4. 5- hit fairway, hit fringe, chip on, 2 putts
13th 388yd par4. 5- right trees, duff shot, hit green, 2 putts
14th 320yd par4. 4- fat tee shot, left side of green, up + down
15th 501yd par5. 5- hit fairway, duff shot, hit frine, up + down
16th 173yd par3. 4- short right fringe, chip on, 2 putts
17th 316yd par4. 4- hit fairway, hit green, 2 putts
18th 372yd par4. 6- right trees, chip out, duff shot, hit green, 2 putts
+15
par 3's + 8
par 4's + 7
par 5's level
FIR 5/12
GIR 2/18
31 putts
So thats my round shot for shot, sorry its not a very concise or quick way to record stats but I'm a virgin!
This was a very typical round for me of late and I'm fairly happy considering my hcp is 19.
I book a lesson on chipping + putting just before I went out but looking at these it seems my time would be better spent trying to hit my 4wood straight (I dont use a driver), or trying to hit par 3 greens!!
Sorry if that was the most boring post ever, I nearly fell asleep writing it! however it is nice to see my whole round written out in front of me.
Any views or advice on where you would go from here or what you would work at would be much appreciated.
cheers
