For those who weren't there on Wednesday, in winning the comp, I won a Ping putter. One of the new IWI range.
These have a changeable weight system, so you can tailor the swing weight to suit, or make it heal or toe heavy. I have the Anser model.

Obviously, being a bit dumb, and assuming the greens would be very slow after being tined on Monday, I put the heavy weights in on Friday. Putted like a gimp.

Today, I put the standard weights back in. Now I didn't hole much from range, but 2 putted from every where, shot 37 points, and won my saturday swindle.

Not bad.

The Scotties may have a challenger.

I have just bought this in an anser model with my own cash. It took me a while to get used to the feel of it but after about a week its become my best club. Like you I wasn't holing many from long range but nothing finished further than 2 feet away.
Would you say that the weight kit is worth £40? I know you didn't buy it but is it worth it?

No. The standard weight is fine. Any heavier and it is hard to initiate the back swing without coming off plane. Even on slow, winterish greens, the standard set up is ok. The only reason to buy the weight kit (in my opinion) is to bias it toe or heal heavy, if this is your thing.

Another 83 net 71 today, but 2 3 putts, so back to scotty no. 3 for next friday. I am fickle with putters.

This IWI anser does give a lovely roll though. Quite impressed.
