Following on from my earlier post re: my 1st comp game.
Played again the next day a casual game with pals.Yellow tees were back to what I had been used to pre-comp.
Well I rattled up a best ever so far amount of pars.....5....and on reaching the 18th tee I was on 90....my best golf score is a 95.....so 'all' I needed was a double bogey at worst on a 190 yard par 3....and I would have a new PB...
Damn it.....I took a 6 triple bogeyed hit the trees with my tee shot so that killed me....BIG mistake to check my running score on the tee??? Probably as all I was thinking is "you just need a bogey/or double bogey for a PB"....had just parred the 16th and 17th.....so had a bit of confifdence.....but as soon as I checked my running score my mind started messing up!!
Anyway for me it was a very good round but came off disappointed with my disastrous trople bogey at the 18th..
Maybe being put on the proper yellow tees yardage the previous day in my 1st comp.....helped me knock 6 shots off the next day.
