My 1st Eagle

Fantastic effort!
Never managed it myself on a par 4,had loads on par 5's but it does not match that effort.
The 12th at my old place was driveable and we used to have nearest the pin in 2 there on the Captains day etc, last year I was there I hit my pitch to about 6 inches but we could not find the marker anywhere. A guy in the previous group had holed in one!! It was in the hole.

Absolutely jon! Ok Leftie If we all meet up on thursday and and Me and jon shoot 85ish then id be over the moon and over all of jupiters moons aswell that ive actually put a half decent round together instead of all the Shite of Late! anway were not the ones getting lessons off of Paul foston ..lol You will be the bandit!!

Jon are you up for a Little range session before we go, see if we can drive the back fence to warm us up, and see if we can get half the bucket in that pitching net at 50 yrds !!!

Im handing my 3rd card in sunday to get my H/Cap So i make sure its over a 100 hahaha only Joking, i shall play my best to get the best handicap i can!

Poor mans eagle John? Pi5h !!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at your scorecard and you will see your score for that hole was -2. Is a short par 3 hole in one 'a poor mans hole in one'? Not a chance, so pat yourself on the back and now you have done it once it will fill you with confidence standing on that tee everytime.

PS

In a few weeks/months you will look at thew strokesaver and realise you have birdied most, if not all of the holes at some point and all you need to do is bag a biride and 6 pars on a round to get cut.

Trust us, me and MVP aren't bandits, honest.

Just joshing chaps, it's all part of the friendly banter/wind up.

I'm sure that most of us have had the odd very good 9 holes only to bu33er it on the other 9. Putting 18 good ones together in one round is the difficult bit that I for one rarely manage.

Nice one Jon. An eagle is an eagle all day long. I have to say though im in agreement with leftie, sounds like a couple of mexican hats may be left by the first tee!!!!

Lewis, Wont have time for a range session prior unfortunately as have a prior arrangement in the morning, bugger!

As for the 11th, The closet I have come to driving it was the front bunker, one day mate, one day.

Looking forward to the 4 of us getting together and collectively knocking in a few pars, birdies, and ea... who am I kidding, lightning can't strike twice that fast!

Good skills mwj!

Well done for having the nerve to hole the putt. I'm yet to record one myself so I can only imagine how fuzzy it made you feel.

I've chipped to 2" from just off the green on a 279yd par 4 and I've watched my 80' putt from the fringe on a 491yd par 5 stop on line and 3" short, so I know it's coming!

I have two to date. One on our 375yd 3rd and on our 435yd 16th, coincidently both with very sweetly struck 7 irons for my second shot. Never had a hole in 1 tho, but one can only keep plugging away!

Nice one Jon, looking forward to yr expert guidance round Gillingham on the 5th.

Can't wait now, we'll have to do something about that 22 h'cap tho!
