And I would have said the GM digital edition. But from what I can work out it is free if you have a paper subscription (like I do) for the iPad. But if you subscribe to the paper edition you have to pay another £4.99!!!!!! to get the digital edition if you are on Android. That's another £4.99 per magazine, dearer than the paper mag with no printing costs, for something you already subscribe to?

Really?? Are GM saying you have to chose between the paper version and the digital version and if you want both you will have to pay twice. Do GM really expect anyone to pay twice for the same content?:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Yep, discussed it with them on twitter the other day and was basically told how wonderful apple and ios is and that its not their fault but google plays. disappointing tbh

So Google Play dictates the price of apps? Is that why it is £4.99?

I am more than confident there is more to it than I know about, but The Times gave you the digital edition on Android if you subscribed to the paper edition. £4.99 per issue is a scandal when you can get all Mark Crossfield's reviews and videos for £3.

On the subject of apps, any good weather apps for iPhone? I had accuweather but the recent update berms it doesn't open!

I use Weather Pro....found it to be pretty accurate. Costs £2.49
