Municipal golf course directory?

Does anyone know if there is a directory of municipal golf courses in the Uk? Even better if there is would you have a link?

I'm really looking for Midlands courses.

I do not Know off any directory as such. But if they are council run. They will be on their website, in the sport section. Well at lest they are in the Manchester area. Best I can do I afraid.

Coventry is served by Brandon Wood Golf Course.
Leamington Spa has Newbold Common.

Birminghan have a link of 7 courses all municipal, Pype Hayes, Hatchford Brook, Lickey Hills, Boldmere, Cocks Moors Wood, Hilltop and Harborne Church Farm (9 holes)

doubt if it would be worth putting a "Municipal" guide together - with the current cash squeeze wonder if there will be any in five years time. should local councils be running golf courses anyway?
