Looking for a book on my shelf I came across something I completely forgot I had.

To give you a flavour

Since bad shots always come in groups of 3 a fourth bad shot is just the start of the next group of 3.

What would you put in the book?

When planning a golfing break in the UK always go for three days minimum - because chances are that 2 consecutive days out of 3 the weather will be the same - which means that, at worse, 2 days will be rubbish and the third will be better, no saying what day of the three it'll be though,

The best weather for golf will be during a lockdown*

*It's a saying that has only come into being in recent times.

So right
The day our buggy ban finally ended was the day before we went in to Tier 4

The day they announced we could play on the 9 hole course was the day the Prime Minister closed all courses.

A birdie on the first hole means the rest of the round will turn into a pile of crap one hole at at time each one progressively worse than the last

We're all different. I find a birdie on the 1st provides a welcome confidence boost, and often inspires me to play well. Some of my best ever scores began with a birdie!
