I bid for a spa and golf weekend in a charity event and have a golf and spa weekend at mottram Hall,
Does the course get very wet and what is the best time to play it?

Course does get rather boggy, we played it in February time and was very damp underfoot but still enjoyable!
Played again around July time and it rained all day but course was great.

Try and avoid playing at a weekend as with any corporate course. It took us 5 1/2 hours to get round in a 3 ball.

Thanks very much, pretty much restricted to the weekend, would a tee time between 8:30 and 9 be OK as I cant see my wife wanting to play much earlier on a weekend away?

Could be OK.

Just used to play these kind of courses years ago and, in my experience you need to get out before the societies and the local nobbers.

Thanks< I will try and make it early I will probably try and combine it with a football match, late afternon kick off just to enthrall my wife, though she may not want that part of the entertainment.

You never know. Free Spa treatments go a long way.

Have a good one!

Sell it to her as the earlier you get a tee time the sooner she'll be able to get to the spa. 7-30am tee time, early lunch and she can be in the spa by just after midday and have the whole afternoon to get treatments and be pampered. While you go off and watch the football somewhere. It's all about give and take. And making her think it was all her idea and that she's getting the better end of the deal.

Take me instead mate, I won't moan about watching the footy
