I've had mine for a month or so now & for me I think it's worth the upgrade, not having to hold on tight to the trolley whilst you walk down steep hills is great. The parking brake also comes in handy as you don't have to angle the trolley sideways to prevent it running off down a steep hill whilst you play a shot.

Asked my 80 year old Dad the very same question last week as I’ve been looking also. He has a Motocaddy with DHC, plays his very hilly home course 2/3 times a week and suffers from extremely dodgy knees and hips. His response was “complete waste of time and money, I still fall over regardless”

New to the DHC option, took a little while to get use to how quickly and abruptly it stops (caught my nuts more than a few times on down slopes) Now I’m use to it, don’t think I’d get one without the DHC now.

Bought my S1 DHC this week . Used it twice and seems to be a decent addition that does exactly what it says it does very well.
