Mother to be.

My eg was because it relates to me,.

Of course, and that was why I used the same example to try and explain you are being too narrow-minded. I think the transgender guidelines are probably even more important but lets not go there.

All these guidelines seem to do is to try and get people to think before jumping in with both feet and to ensure that everyone is treated with respect. I really don't see why any reasonable person would have a problem with that.

I understand that you have a problem with it so you don't need to come back and reiterate that but, please, try and see an alternative view.

FD, if I was good at one thing it was sitting on a fence and seeing both sides of the story or argument, but the only thing I have a problem with is that some people don't want to see both sides of the story. I will give you another example.

In the last month in Birmingham a Morris dancing group were performing, they were from the Black Country, some of the men had Painted there faces Black, this goes back hundreds of years when peasants used to black there faces so there lords and masters would not recognise there faces when they were begging. It is part of our culture and there is a genuine reason behind doing it. however a delightful Asian gentleman was having a right go at said " black faced Morris dancers" saying he took offence to what said Morris dancers had done. He reckoned it demeaned Black people. They tried explaining it was a cultural thing but the Asian guy was having none of it. My point is it does not matter what you write or what you do, some people are so insecure, insensitive or whatever you want to call it. They will find an angle to get upset.
Al give you another eg, yesterday a Jewish guy, a survivor of the holocaust was talking on to about how people of today have lost focus on what is or is not important. In his day he listened to bombs falling from the sky not knowing if he would survive, he survived the horrors of the Second World War to listen to people of today get upset coz they have lost there phone or not got a signal. Or the wrong terminology has been used.
Am sure the "wrong" terminology has been used in the past, and will continue to be used, but al bet 99 times out of a 100 it was said without any malice intended. My point is it did not need a paper to be written to emphasise this.

With every post you demonstrate that it is. Talk about missing the point - sheesh!
