Did you have one of those at Hayling ?

I would have gone for hitting a driver to 15 feet on a par 4, but the option was not there.:smirk:

Hitting a long iron to 6 feet is no good for me, as I would be more frustrated than ever when I missed the putt. Went for holing a long putt, though I can't really remember what it feels like.;)

Gone for the approach shot as its the rarest one that happens for me although its also the least practiced shot I do so there's a diff kind of reward from the chip shot as I put in a reasonable amount of practice on these

Holing a long putt for birdie or par is amazing. As good as a long drive is, nothing better than holing a difficult putt.

+1 . Had a 18 footer for a par on the 18th in a inter club game for the half which got us through to the next round , just the best feeling. On the greens is where it counts

I wnet for the long drive option.

The thread is about most rewarding shot - a really decent drive that puts you in position for a par or even birdie has got to be up there.

Of course I know that what counts in a round is converting these to getting on the green or sinking a putt to get par but for the sheer enjoyment factor a nice drive is definitely up there for me.

Probably that they don't happen as ofetn as expected as well so when I get one in its a great start to a hole.

I'm not surprised that recovering is last. I know I always have "shouldn't have been in that situation anyway, you idiot", in my head.

I would have gone for hitting a driver to 15 feet on a par 3, but the option was not there.:smirk:

Corrected your error for you

For me it would have to be the up and down from 100 yards plus when you've had to take your medicine after a bad drive

Although smashing a fairway wood close for two on a par 5 comes pretty close
