Doon frae Troon
Ryder Cup Winner
I had that one as a poster in black and white, now framed and on my daughters wall.
The original would have been B&W I would believe [1953 Merion I think]
I/we also have one of Carnoustie 1953 both fabulous images.
My avatar revealed...Post number 8 without doubt.
Definitely the top one, with Seve celebrating his Open win.Just a few
Fabulous - and a strike position captured beautifully by Anthony Ravielli in Hogan’s iconic book.First seen in clubhouse @ Turnberry.
Exactly - I didn't see this live - set off camping that day - can remember first time I saw that pic on the back of a paper next day. I've worked alongside Dave Cannon who took that pic at a couple of tournaments, it was his first Open, probably the best golf photographer during the years between then and now.I assume you mean this and the fist pumping that followed

Seve had long been a favourite of mine and that victory was just another iconic moment for me

To be fair if someone asked me to get a player's autograph I wouldn't do it either - Sorry HomieDave Cannon had a small studio around the corner from my house (more an archive/storage facility) and he always had some picture in the window. I met him once coming out and asked if he could get a Seve autograph but he never did!.
