The Grinder Of Pars (Semi Crocked)
Well, I had a time booked at the club for CVG and Myself - 9.18. Didi it over the Interwebby thing and got an e-mail confirmation.
Arrived at the club and Lo - no booking in my name. I fished out the e-mail and showed them. Ooops - someone's dropped a bollock somewhere and cancelled our time and re-booked it for someone else - probably the 2 Societies queueing up to go out, 70 or 80 of them!!
So we get sent off the 10th and they hoped to squeeze us in to play the front 9 when we came round.
Yeah - like that was going to work..??
Came to the 18th and there's still plenty waiting to go. It's 10.40 and the shop tells us we can go out for our back 9 at 11.20 - Bugger that, we'd have to wait another 40 minutes and then take 3 hours to get round 9 - no thanks.
So we went off and had 18 round the short course - which was also pretty busy.
So not overly impressed today. At least we got some real golf and then had a good laugh on the short course.
Roll on next week when all these bloody Bank Holidays have finished for a while.....
