Monthly poll time - next European Ryder Cup team + dodgy gear...

Evening all,
It's monthly poll time again, and with the next Ryder Cup qualifying period looming fast, this month I'm asking which nation will be most represented in our next team.

Beyond that it's a question of which item of golf gear you'd be most embarrassed to own - sincere apologies to anyone who owns any of the items listed, but it's just meant as a bit of fun...

Think England will be the dominant force next time out and I'd rather give up than have a chipper in the bag. Even with my short game as bad as it is there are still limits

The worrying thing is that in various cupboards or in the shed I have most of the items listed. I have a couple of pink balls (even worse), a black glove, an actual Alien wedge (though it was a lob wedge not the sand blaster), a chipper, the snug fitting undergarments and a plastic score keeper. On that basis I am hoping that the scoop ball retriever is deemed the most embarassing

A friend of mine was struggling with his chipping and bought one. He brought it for one round and copped so much abuse it's never been seen since.

As for the list, not fair to limit us to just one but I simply can't abide those rubber tees linked with string. Not necessarily worse than the others but just a personal thing.

It's chipper for me but recently I was despatched to the golf shop to buy balls for the 2's comp for an event we were running. "I'll have a couple of dozen AD333's" I said picking up two boxes. The sly git (who's a member at our club btw) didn't mention that they were the orange version that had probably been doing quite well with Blackpool in the Premier League but were now "Get rid" material. I was gutted at the presentation when we opened the boxes to split them up...... done like a kipper.

Have to say I thought Italy might attract just a little interest with the Molinaris and Manassero all strongly in the frame, but I guess they just haven't got that 4th one to potentially clinch it, unless Rocca has an Indian Summer at 54 or whatever he is!

I had a good think about Italy but without the 4th as you say then i'm afraid not a chance. Only other chap I could come up with was Gagli who has had a decent season so far.

I did want to choose more than 1 but opted for the score counter.

Went for Ireland because I am biased.

Had to go with the chipper. Hate the things.

Don't mind orange golf balls and plan to get some for the winter months. Why all the hate for black gloves though?
