Two related polls for the next forum spread asking you to blend your in-depth golfing knowledge with a little crystal ball-gazing to predict the most likely players to make their Ryder Cup debuts this year.

Two separate polls - this one for Europe and a US one to follow...

With regard to the European list, I believe Fredrik Jacobson is either a Category 15 or Affiliate Member of the European Tour and therefore eligible, while Martin Laird (I believe) is taking/has taken up membership for 2012

For this poll you can tick all those you think will make it

I chose quiros, dyson and mannasero.

Was tempted to choose lewis but think he needs another season before he makes it, looking for a big year from matteo he looks very good. Quiros coming off some good form into the new year and dyson will hopefully be his steady self.

Went for Quiros and Dyson.

Dyson seems to get better and better each year.

I'd like to see Tom make it, but agree might be a bit early.

Mannassaro, I'd like to see a bit more from him. Obviously very talented but I don't think he has shown any real consistency yet.

Whoever makes it from the choices it's going to be a fantastic team. I can't wait.

Must remember not to book my holiday somewhere where there is no coverage. Like I did last time. Doh.

Quiros and Lewis

Quiros had a great finish to 2011, and I wouldn't be surprised if he continued that onto 2012.
Tom Lewis had a fantastic year and I want him to do well

Dyson and Alvaro for me.

In terms of comebacks....,I think if Thomas Bjorn and Sergio continue the form of last year they will be in.

Harrington will be involved but not as a player.

I reckon at least 1 of the 3, Dyson for sure and maybe Quiros but would love to see the young Italian there

Dyson as I believe the penny has dropped and he believes he can win regularly now. Also went for Mannasero as I think with a full season behind him he knows what to expect and will kick on.

Fredrik Jacobson
Tom Lewis
Simon Dyson.

I'd favour freddie, he's really put a good show on the later half of the season. Very good putter too! Just a shame he's possibly the worst dressed golfer.

Quiros will be a big asset if Medinah suits his long game and I think Simon Dyson will be a tough opponent in matchplay, so they are my picks.

Dyson will hopefully make it. A true grit player. Seems to have that Woosie style of not wanting to lose, grinds away and keeps fighting.

Manassero should be there or there abouts. I don't think Quiros is consistent enough yet. Wild card a possibility.

Gonzo, I think I'm a better putter than him, no chance!

I chose Quiros, Manassero and Noren... but I think Dyson is also a no-brainer. It'll be exciting to follow all the contendars towards the European Masters.

Quiros and Dyson for me,Garcia needs to up his game and attitude, okay he won a couple of tournements but he's
not quite the player he used to be,though I hope he comes good.

I'd also go for Dyson, reckon he could be in the Poulter mould in terms of matchplay.

Would Martin Laird's experience Stateside be useful to the team? Guess he would have to be a pick and is his putting strong enough?
