Monthly poll 2: how many wedges do you carry in your golf bag?

46, 52, 56 & 60.....love nothing more than opening the face of my 60 and throwing the ball as high in the air as possible....my go to shot.

4 but dropping the lw so no temptation to use it as costing more than it saves plus been practising solely with sw for consistency

so that's pw 45, gw 50, sw 55 & for now lw 60

Not keeping anything out of the bag but the 48* is currently on probation - and seems to know it!!

Sand,gap and pitching wedge. The gap: second hand vokey 52 degrees, 25 quid. Worth every penny.

4 - PW, GW, SW + LW.

I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything, I love the versatility it brings having the full range. I can thin them all a number of distances!!!!

dont have 14 clubs in the bag and dont use long irons so its not a problem,plus I WANT the 4 wedges,wouldnt be without them

For me its a PW, 50 deg Gap wedge and SW.

Gives me options for a full swing between 120 yards and 80 yards in then half swing below that.

I don't carry a hybrid as I like my 3 iron so don't feel the 3 wedges cause an issue anyway.

5 for me, not good at manipulating flights etc by opening the face so like to have all bases covered within 90. Two shots with each, front foot for a higher stoppier (yes that is now a word!) shot and back foot for a lower running shot.

Couldn't use any of them until watching Phil's secrets of the short game, used to shank them all but now I look forward to these shots a lot more, now if I could only hit one of them (any one) to get me out of the sand!

At the expense of a 4 iron, rarely have a situation where I would use one over my 3 hybrid or 5

Maybe got a little too big of a gap between the PW and GW but I feel more comfortable taking some off a PW to fill the gap in distances rather than having to to do it at the other end of the bag with a hybrid etc

PW is part of set and can't do anything with it, in terms opening face etc. 52 I use for full shots, 56 I use for chipping and pitches, then the 60 is for sand (at home club) and getting up and down quick.

All sounds perfect when I write it down.....hmmmm

Four, gives be 4 degree gap right through the scoring clubs. PW is 46 then have Ping Tour-W 50, 54, 58. Even use the 58 for full shots. Don't carry a 3 wood. If I need safety I take 3 iron from tee.

I change between my 60s. 60-04 for baked weather. 60-08 for normal conditions. perfeck :smirk:

Two. 52 gap wedge and 56 sand wedge. The 56 can be opened if more loft is needed so I don't feel anything above that is required.

The callys are all high bounce (60-13) with C grind, and my other one is 60-06. The 60-06 can be an utter poison club if you don't pick the right moments to play it.

Used to carry 2, PW 48* and SW 56*, pro recommended a gap filler so added a 52*.
