Month off

i wouldnt take a month off, i havent played for nearly 4 weeks now because of a car crash and its killing me.

Has anyone else taken a big break like this, when their game's been bad or whatever, and has it helped?

I played SOLIDLY for about 5 years, then quit, out of the blue. All I can say is, don't stop for too long, it's a tough road back....and not as exciting second time around.

Thanks to Midnight, I'll be back on the course in a couple of Mondays. That means just two or so weeks without touching a club, so hopefully that might be about right to let me lose some of my golfing gremlins.

(I do still visualise my swing in my head while I'm walking along, so I'm obviously still addicted really!) ;)

Did a similar thing , played a lot for about about 5 years then after our 2nd round of club champs in june 04 never picked a club up again until september last year. It felt like i'd never played before but you soon pick it up and i'm the opposite of Dave in that i've got the bug back and i'm finding it better this time around. Already back to 5 h/c and can see i'm going to be lower than before without question.
