mods. where is my photo R15

Maybe gimmick was the wrong word, but those weights make such a small difference to performance. I'm sure the stability setting will help with the MOI, but only slightly. These sliding settings can only do so much. If you've got a slice, setting the weight to the draw setting will not make a big difference, the face will still be open to the path. Aimed more at making small adjustments for the pro's rather than helping an amateur change shot shape, which is how it's marketed.

whilst we can easily agree that you can't resolve fundamental swing faults with any technology (although you can mitigate some to a degree), my experiences with both the R1 and SLDR systems are that you can dial in shot shape to a massive degree based on a consistent, relatively neutral, swing. It follows that you can dial in a slight draw to what would otherwise be a slight fade delivery etc The real benefit for the average golfer is in setting it up for them rather than in constantly selecting different settings.

for me the primary marketing for higher handicaps (and lower!) was around loft/confidence/distance rather than as a solution to hooks and slices; so we will just have to disagree about how it's marketed.

My take on weighting in the club head and does it work. Big time is the answer.

Of course if you swing it massively with a slice it will slice. If you put a huge hook swing the ball will still hook. if you have any degree of control over your swing which most of us do to a certain extent, then in theory the weighting can be used to dial in a certain flight. Either soften the curvature or exaggerate it, if that is what you are after.
