i have been playing around 8 months and have been using cheap beginner dunlop irons , i am a 21 handicapper and still improving, and i think its now time to invest in a decent set of irons , direct golf have them for £25 a month ,also was looking at the wilson staff di9s and cobra s2s.has anyone got / tried any of these irons and would they be okay for me ?

they are all decent sets, the cobra s2's are probably similar to my fp's and i love them but you really need to go and try them all out, and you never know you may find some different ones at a shop and try them and prefer them, dont narrow your choices yet, try as many as possible.

i know , but i only chose them 3 as i need to get the pay monthly deal from direct golf , and they are the only 3 in my price range (under £35 a month)and they all seem to have pretty good reviews.

I don't know the details of this scheme but the certainty is that DG will be the winner.

if you can stick with what you have put the money in a separate account and in 10 months (or less - there are always deals around) you'll have enough to be able to make choices.
