Mizuno MP Clubs - Its true what they say

Iv got the mp-t4 wedges and they are pretty soft, the face marks very easily on them, they feel great to hit though, I swapped to them from vokeys and like them better.
Iv also got the mp64 irons, great clubs!

True that a centred shot from a forged iron feels good but I have gone from forged Titleist cb irons to Ping i25 and they feel and perform great.

There can't be any benefit from feel or sound though as these happen after you have struck the ball.

Golf is about scoring and that comes from the overall results not feel and sound. So best to go with consistency or workability if you are talented enough.

I said earlier you could argue it was making the game harder and I agree entirely with what you say about it being a scoring game. However there is something unique about a bladed long or mid iron hit perfectly

With my new JPX850 forged irons I got an MP T5 51 degree wedge and frankly it feel great compared to my Titleist Vokeys

Agree Golf is about scoring, but it is also about enjoyment.

The feel of a flush iron shot through your hands and arms is a very enjoyable experience.

I disagree that there is no benefit however.

Hitting it sweet breeds confidence and confidence can breed good scoring.

'feel' has also helped me to learn so much about iron striking over the last few months it is unreal. I know instantly where on the face i am hitting the ball and i can feel an open or closed face.

Not to mention that i have found myself putting some serious hours practicing, all so that i can try and replicate that sweet feeling. Strange as it sounds i am possibly hooked on trying to find the middle of the club as the rewards are blimmin adictive.

Honestly

I never had the enthusiasm for practice when i was playing my RAC OS, Cobra S9's, Cobra S3's or most recently my TM RBZ Tours.

However as soon as i picked up the Cobra Amp Pro's, i was hooked on practice.

There is much more to feel, than just a noise and a squidge.

Best putter, I once had to talk my 3 hdcp mate out of chucking his for a newer putter as he was very good with his. The only mizuno putter I liked tbh.

If I had not seen my redwood this would have been my putter of choice. I had a few goes and loved it.

My MP57s are pretty decent too. TBH I could MAYBE do better with something that is more forgiving (I think) but could I really justify the cost? Nope!

I trust them and know any bad shots are bad swings and not bad clubs. Makes me work harder

I totally get where you are coming from here.

I have recently had a good play with some i25's and whilst here was no doubt that they do the job very well, i had no idea what was happening as the felt dead in comparison to my Amp's.

I just found it a little underwhelming when compared to the feedback i currently have.

Interestingly i never hit a bad shot with them after hitting many balls. Folk could argue that this is down to the in built in forgiveness?

I would argue that i was good with the i25's as i have been putting in the hard hours with clubs that are teaching me the game.

4 months ago i would have been just as average with the pings that i was with my RBZs.

Still loving my MP-54s that I was lucky enough to win last year through the forum. I just wish that they did a gap wedge as part of the set.

still using my 15 year old forged Mizuno's.

Never understood the 'buttery' comment. If my clubs had a buttery feel it would make a dull 'splodge' sound with fart noises as the air bubbles in butter exploded:rolleyes:
