Had my first range session today with my new MP 59's

Hit them well and really like them.

Have to say that this is the first time i have really has a play with any Mizuno iron. I have hit Honma, Vega and Muria irons before and thought that they were (supposedly) the pinicle of 'feel'

However, i was wrong.....

The Mizuno are the softest feeling things i have ever used. It honestly took me a good few balls to get my head around the feeling on a good contact.

Hit some crackers and was alarmed initially at the lack of a thud of the face. Watching my ball flight however, i really was getting it out there to a very similar distance to my old bats.

Not sure what the point of this thread is TBH, other than to express my surprise at a feeling it is hard to put into words.

Soft but powerful, gentle but firm etc.

I like it!

Mizuno definitely make lovely clubs. Whether I'd ever do the MP range justice is doubtful but clearly you have the magic touch. Of course having felt the Mizzy love you know there's no turning back now and the clock's ticking intil you get them

I would not go that far Homer. I'm just a 19 Handicap with delusions of granduour :o

TBF my balls striking aint to shabby (when at the range) currently. Just need to get on the course more and put my money where my mouth is.

Bearing in mind the 59's are probably not Mizzys purest (for want of a better word) irons. I would love to have a bash with the MP-4's or similar, for a session or two.

I have a set of mp-68s that I love the look of but had to many nightmares with when my ball striking isn't spot on. I keep thinking I should sell them but then think I will just try them for another couple of rounds in just in case. They might find there way into the for sale section at some point.

Quick question for those in the know.

Are Mizuno's Wedges and Putters similar of feel?
Only my opinion, when I got my EZ's I went for Mizzie wedges (OCD) I love the clubs but have switched back to Vokey wedges, just didn't seem to get the same consistencey.

the mp's are without question the softest feeling clubs out there, the sound and feel when you strike it out centre is unrivalled.

not the longest irons you can hit but well worth the money for the confidence inspiring feel

the mp putter has a nice feel too, the mpt10 and 11 wedges didn't work for me but the mpt4s are awesome wedges

I actually like the feel of my JPX's so I really can't wait to give the 59's their first hit tomorrow.

I've had the MP 54's for over a year and they feel better than any club I've ever hit.

Apparently it's something to do with acoustics of them that makes them feel/sound so soft.

I've got Mizuno wedges and they are good but they do feel a little on the head heavy side.

Tempted to get the new Clevelands for this season.

The putters are very nice.

I had my t4 wedges out today for their first go and they are good clubs. I wouldn't rave over the "feel" of them but certainly pleasant enough.

Personal favourite wedges are Bridgestone, the West Coast design wedges were the mutts nuts. I've a j40 60* that is, IMO, nicer feel than the Mizunos.

I was about to buy another couple of the Bridgestone ones until the bargain Mizzy ones were posted on here!!

I had forged Mizuno's which I really liked.......until I tried Orka blades.

Now they are the definition of feel ;)

Welcome to the club :D

The first few times I middled my MP-54s, I had to look down to make sure I had actually hit the ball. Almost can't feel anything on the face.
