Hi all,
Sorry if it seems i am constantly nagging and being annoying.
Does anybody have experience with the mizuno mp 60? My dad said he can get me a set of these mid summer time! :) hopefully these will be good

I use MP 60s - quality set of clubs. If you can get them at a great price then go for them. However if you do have the money for a new set of Mizuno's, then I would get yourself custom fitted.

I too use them and they are a beautiful set of clubs however when you are a little bit off they let you know it big time.

Nice clubs, but off 24/25 they may be a bit of a handfull compared to your TM OS HTs :(

Why not see if there is something a bit more forgiving that you'd like ;)

I think you need to sit down and think about what you want. Off your handicap your ball striking wil be too erratic for a lot of the clubs you have mentioned (TP's MP60's etc) and you would be better off with something that will help those off centre hits. If you are getting lessons or working on your own to get better, you'll need to wait until you get a repeatable swing and then go and as your club pro for some advice and go and hit as many makes and models as you can.

Only you know your swing but I think personally that you may be trying to run before you can walk

All gear... no idea!!

Sorry if that sounds harsh
NO.... I basically want a good set of irons that will last me and are good quality. Its not as if i have a full setup of all new top range gear. I have old clubs except my driver which isnt even that good. (mizuno mx560)
The reasoon i am on here is because i have no idea about the clubs hence me asking about them

Don't go there. I take it from your username you are 16 y.o.
I know two juniors (under 18) who use this type of club. They are both of less than 7 and struggle to hit these sweet on an off day.
Why not ask your Dad to spend his hard-earned on some lessons/coaching instead.

golfer 19994 i tend to agree with everyone else, are you still growing. even in one year your clubs might not suit. go try a few second hand set of improver clubs. then when youve stopped growing get your dad to pay for your custom fit mizzys. :D imo

As I am also 16 i think it is worth mentioning that i bought titleist AP1s about 10 months ago with regular steel shafts in. since then i have grown about 3 or 4 inches and got stronger and then the regulars were too whippy so had to change.
IMO get a cheap 2nd hand set and get to a decent standard before you spend any large amounts of money

Excellent advice.

When you get to a good enough standard you will not only save money but have the experience to hit them well also.

sam torrance allegedly plays them must be good :D :D

Talking about excellent advice... stay away from Slazenger!!

Whats wrong with slazenger :D ;)

If you want Mizuno quality and a bit of forgiveness I would take a look at the MX25's really good clubs with just that little bit of inbuilt help that can be the difference between still getting away with a poor swing and hitting a howler. I had them before my MP60's and believe me on the odd occasion when I haven't got away with an off center hit I wish I still had them. Second hand you can get them under £100.00

Bought these clubs brand new over a year ago and have loved them.

Great flight off of them.

But again as above you really have to be a consistent ball striker with them or you will struggle.

In my opinion i would advise you to stick with what you have until you get your handicap down to 15 or under then think about moving on to clubs like these.

Even go to a shop and try some see for your self

Learn from my mistakes youngling...

When I was 16 I was off 12. I bought a set of Mizuno TP9s for no other reason than they were the best irons out there. Nick Faldo used them and he was my hero. I thought they'd improve my golf - I was wrong. They were intended for <5 handicappers.

Get yourself a second hand set - make/model isn't particularly important. Make sure they feel nice in your hands then practice, practice, practice and then have a little more practice. If your Dad wants to help financially, that's great - let him pay for your lessons. Give your self a target of something like - get a 20 handicap - treat yourself to some new clubs.
