Anyone seen these yet and if so what is your opinion?

Seen em recently in Golf International and I like the look of them but in the article they were saying they went stupid distances in comparison to other liked irons which I found a bit wierd.

They are affordably priced as well...
 
I've seen them and they do look a very nice club which given they are Mizuno is no great surprise. Much better looking than the ordinary JPX800. I've posted elsewhere that the new TM 2.0 burners are much longer than standard and I'm wondering if these are too along with stronger lofts.

I've got a Mizuno test session coming (up probably the weekend) after next to hit the MP53, 63 and the JPX's so I'll let you know
 
Seen them in golf world. they look great, the distances look crazy, but I am sure there is a reason for this. Think they are cast, not forged, but i am not sure this makes any difference.

If I am changing(which I am thinking on)it won't be til Feb/March as I am having a forced period out of the game from 1st week in November and would likely go and get customed.

Screwback,imagine just how close that rip draw 6 iron at 2 would have been if you had taken my clubs home on Friday and cleaned them like any real pal would have done! ;)
 
The JPX800 had 28 degrees of loft and the MP63 has 30 degrees of loft. That's where some of the 18 yards come from.

I was asking our pro about the 800s, he's going to tape one up for me to have a play with. Really nice looking bats.
 
I've had a look at them recently and thought they were not too bad looking. They're 2° stronger through the set than the standard MP lofts so thats probably helping with the distance. The JPX800Pros are definately the forged version, its the JPX800s that are cast.

Compared to the MP53s I think I'd go for the JPX800Pros as they do look a tad more forgiving. Not had a chance to hit them yet, but I may well be in the market for something a bit more forgiving for next year.

They deffo are more forgiving.I almost ordered a set of 53's but realised the 800 pro's were more suited to my level and consistency ( or lack there of) so ordered them instead.Carnoustie golf did the bizzo, only for them to tell me a day later Mizuno have run out of 800 pro heads and I'll need to wait an extra week for them to be re-stocked.
 
The 300's aren't short either. I've not yet compared them to the 800 pro's or the 53's. I was hoping to last Saturday, but my shoulder was playing up badly again and I wasn't hitting all that well by the time I'd hit 50 on the the range and played 18 holes.

I agree. The TM burner 2.0 is silly long and how can manfacturers justify a 3 iron length 4 iron etc and stronger lofts. Where does it stop? Even the short irons like wedges are stronger than old fashioned 9 irons and surely they are actually making the game harder. The less loft on any club the harder it is to control
