Evening all.
I have a golfing itch that I fear I have to scratch. I am soon to shelve my beloved Eye 2+ irons and move into the future slightly. But what to replace them with? I don't yet have an official active handicap but I guess I'm hovering around the 17/18 mark at the moment. I am being drawn towards Mizuno and have read only good things about the JPX EZ irons. Does anyone have any experience of these? And which irons did you switch from and was the transition easy? The reason I ask is that I am so used to my Ping irons that any other irons I try from various playing partners, I can't hit for toffee. One of my pp's has a set of G30's and I absolutely hate them! Any feedback always gratefully received. I should add that I am looking at the second hand market around 2 years old.

My friend has a set of the forged ones, I tried one off the tee on a par 3. So easy to hit. I had ping G15's at the time.
A month or two later, Mizuno fitter at the club and got fitted for the jpx850 forged, the next incarnation of the jpg ez irons.
Only problems I've had have been with my swing deserting me, a lovely in.

I have them but after 18 months, shiney new Titleists are on the horizon, got me down from 19 to 14, no reason to change, but the Titleists are soooooo shiney.

There are new Ez coming out soon i saw them them today as the Mizuno Rep was at the range we use, nice looking clubs,BL has the original EZ Forged and loves them

I have mostly used Mizuno over the years. I have 2 sets still.

The only bad set I had was bottom of the range. Avoid these and it's hard to go wrong.

Use the jpx825, the slightly older version of the EZ.
Great clubs, can't fault them at all. Tried them against ap1's and taylormade speedblades and they offered the best in terms of forgiveness, dispersion and distance.
Can't go wrong with them at all in my opinion.

Many thanks for the replies all.
It does seem that these clubs are held in high esteem by everyone that has used them. Might get myself an odd club, 7 iron or similar off the flea bay and try it out before committing.

Just to add to the above Craig, I recently moved from Ping G15s (which I have had from the first month of my golfing life) to second-hand JPX825s and made absolutely the correct decision. My game has come on leaps and bounds in the two months since I've had the Mizzys and I've fallen back in love with the game. I couldn't have imagined, nor can I overstate, how much they have enhanced my enjoyment. I don't think I realised how little I enjoyed playing with the G15s. Thinner topline, better feel, nicer look all contribute to the Mizunos being infinitely better-suited to my game.

The one club I haven't quite got the hang of yet is the 5i. Hit 6i through PW as sweetly as anything but the 5i is not yielding the distance I used to get on my Ping G15 5i. I've probably lost about 30 yards in all.
