In 4BBB you play off your own tees and you each play off your own SI.
For foursomes and greensomes you play off the mens SI, but often the women get a handicap adjustment upwards to allow for a harder card. You still drive off your own tees though.

if your playing a mixed open competition then you normally add the ladies & gents handicaps together and divide by 2.. some clubs will take a maximum handicap of 30 for ladies and 24 for gents...
Tee shots normally alternated as well. and if the male goes out of bounds with the tee shot, the lady will tee off from the gents tee.
