It seems since Phil blew he's chances at this years masters with a triple 6 on a par 3 he's game has totally nose dived.Phils rounds since has been a disaster the worst since he turned pro, heck he even fluffed he' Signature flop shot at The Scottish today.Come on Phil get yer confidence back as I'm sure you guys will agree the golf world is a lesser place without the big man.

I completely agree Shivas, his form has been v poor! He seems to have lost his course management abilities completely, and tends to make some really daft choices of shot when in the rough.I am also a huge fan of him and his style of play and really hope he can get it together soon.

Really don't think this was a huge part of his game. And with his short game skills, it didn't need to be!

Hope he comes back. But he has (quite a few) off course issues too apparently.

Fair point mate, but he just seems to go against logic all the time now, with few good results. He always was a gambler, but he seems away with it at the moment!

I thought he said (and Harmon reiterated it numerous times) that they were working on a swing change and that it wasn't quite there yet. When it was good he was much more competitive and straight (not a Mickleson strength) but when it was off then it got messy.

I guess if you have Phils reputation for the short game but are struggling then it puts more and more pressure on and even the best get it wrong sometimes

I suspect the off course issues (his Wife and mother are both ill) has a lot to do with his form but I believe, and hope, he is too good not to come back to form.

He deserves more success as he is definately one of the game's good guys, and an example to other American pro's.

Spot on Stub,I fear you are correct about his family issues(poor lad).I think he does indeed set a great example for other golfers with his conduct,a true gent!

Same could be said for Ernie Els, he's never been the same player since his son was diagnosed with autism.

Phils gone from an Open no chance to a reasonable chance after todays round, this guy does blow hot and cold and its great to see him put in a superb round today, can't ever keep a great player down....
