member or non member ?

That's disgraceful. Shame on the Council for leasing their course to a body like that.

Glad we don't have these operators up here, our local councils do a reasonable job on their own... so far ;)

its harsh because if you add up what i spend in the shop/bar/range/lessons with pro/breakfast/swindlefee's/comp fee's i reckon it must be well over £2500 a year. just wish some of the other members would see the light too.

We have had endless amounts of meeting where we are constantly suggesting a 7 day membership in limited numbers, but for some reason 50 x £800 (40k) isnt wanted by our course. i have said to the committee that id be prepared to market research local courses to see if they would be interested in 40 new members, but the older committee members are all about " for the good of the course " bla bla bla.

Times change.

When I read all this high costs it makes me grateful I am up here in Scotland.

I play a course as my home course but have another three super courses plus 2 nine's that I can play on, free, any time, offering a choice of Links or Parkland .. the cost under £200 pa .. yes they are council owned BUT one of them has been laid out by a Mr MacKenzie, you know the fellow that laid out Augusta!!
