Meeting Place - Nr Kings Cross

In a couple of weeks time I am coming down to London to meet a potential new overseas customer. Neither of us know London that well. I will get the train to Kings Cross and then need a location where we can sit and talk for a couple of hours. I don't want to hire a soulless meeting room. I am thinking of something like a hotel reception area where we can get tea / coffee and talk. I am not tied to Kings Cross, I can get the tube a few stops, but I want to make life easy for both of us.

Can anyone suggest a place to meet?

Institute of Directors right by Liverpool street station (2-3 stops from KC) is very nice.

Otherwise you are looking at hotels as you say, Don't know KC very well. A quick google found this place http://www.thespacecentre.com/ About 80 quid for a morning... Probably better going to a hotel!

Granary square 2 mins walk from kings cross is quite nice, next to the canal and there are a few coffee shops and restaurants that look good.
