Medal Abandoned

Twice on this section in one day- cripes!

Our medal was abandoned this afternoon after crazy rain. I got out this morning in the 17 degree sunshine.

Someone scored a net 65 (I hit buffer).

Will they get a cut? What about those who missed buffer?

I assume you mean abandoned rather than cancelled - a world of difference.

Got cut Saturday, even though comp was abandoned, reductions only..right carry on, or so it appeared.

Similar happened to me Saturday., won comp.
Sunday morning, was informed comp was abandoned ( Saturday afternoon),however, all scores were entered into computer on Saturday, thus declaring a result HDID and on club computer...I have had a long winded explanation,not answered correctly IMHO,but it still does the spirit in which the game should be played no favours,Lots more to it than this brief outline....For record, i was cut even though i believed all scores were null and void in cancelled/abandoned comps.

There should be no need for a long-winded explanation, the rules are quite clear. All completed cards in an abandoned comp have to be used for handicap adjustments but it's reductions only against SSS - no 0.1 increases.
