Morning All,
I was just going through the usual sites bored at work and looked at Greg Nicholson's site and they have the above wedges but you have to phone to get the price or buy them. I was a little confused as to the reason of three different types of wedges seve has made for them and thought its a little OTT for MD Golf, anyway I called them to ask about the price, thinking it would be around the usual MD price range like Drew Normans of £40-50, no they want £65!! I thought well I could get a Titleist Spinmill for a fiver more  No doubt they will be reduced to £40 by the end of the season which is a shame as I am looking in the next few months and was looking forward to this bad boys coming out.

Saw these reviewed in one of the mags this month. looked pretty good but I thought you could get other brands with more options and for not much more money. I'm happy with the TP Z grooves and my Cally X series (one for my TM tour burners and one set for the X20's)

I'd pay the extra for a vokey. Spent some serious time with one on the range and decided to ask the big man in red for one!

It had such great feel and looking down on it gave such confidence because its such a great looking club. The 08 models are still £69.99 but titleist are bringing out a whole new range in 09 at £99.99 so the current model will probably drop quite soon, if you can wait?

They are getting a little expensive for the brand compared to Vokeys et al. When the ND's came out at £45 it was a good deal. But £65 does seem a little steep.

I called the Northern sales rep for MD a few weeks ago in regards to these, he told me they would be available from Feb in stores but depending on take up the high street in Spring realistically.

£65 is a lot but I think once the main line retailers take them on the price will dropp to about £45 like the ND, but I still can not understand why they have released 3 versons of it.

Seems you are paying an extra £15- £20 for the Seve name, not to mention the fact MD maybe about to join the big boys.

They already have gone great leaps to do so in the quality stakes, with classic & trusted looks & feel running like warm Lyles Golden syrup through their recent ranges of the last 12 - 18 months or so mostly in the form of their MD Wedges & Putter. Not to mention their not to be sniffed at Superstrong ranges, some lines & varients better than others.

I really don'tthink it'll be too long before there is some sponsorship in one Tour or another.

The Icon has the same sole grind that Seve used. The Razor is - I think - basically a slight update on the existing wedge but with razor grooves and the continuous bounce has the sort of sole that keeps the leading edge close even when you've opened the face - again I think!!

Seems a bit much of a line up for a small brand

There may be a problem with too much diversity for a small brand. As we touched upon on another thread there are always R&D and some marketing costs to be paid and I fear that MD much have over egged the pudding with yet another line to add to their range.
