i see that entry for the above prestigious competition is open to U16 players with a handicap of 4.4 or better

as a father of young golfers, I am curious to know how a player gets so low, so young

is it a matter of playing as often as possible, and occasionally seeing a golf coach? or practicing for hours? or a combination of all?

Start em young at 4-5 as their brain is growing and ingesting. Regular coaching and practicing. At that age. A golf swing will be natural to their body as they grow older. Swing thoughts eliminated. Hand eye coordination and a golf muscles well trained.
At 16 they’ll be natural more or less scratch golfers.

This...., we have about a dozen or more all under 16 and all scratch and better one was scratch at 13 (same age as Tiger) he comes from a golfing family, his dad was a pro and is older brother is +5. if you go up to the club at any time at the weekend or the school holiday all these lads will be on the range.
