A long Par 4 with a blind 2nd shot, player A hits his 2nd shot towards the green but on reaching it they cannot find the ball.
After 3 mins he concedes the hole after which they find the ball had infact been holed with the 2nd shot. Is the hole lost?

Player A scores a 2 and he won the hole unless player B scored a 2 or better. The hole was completed for player A when the ball was holed. So any concession made afterwards is irrelevant.

Edit: I'm assuming player B's 2nd shot wasn't also holed and also that he picked up after the faux concession - but even if he hadn't picked up, he couldn't equal or better player A's 2

As a supreme optimist, I always look in the hole if my ball is expected to be around the green but can't be found. I always do it but have never found the ball in the hole.
