Masters tickets 2012

I just received an email telling me my application for tournament days tickets were unsuccessful.

Still have an option to apply for practice days tickets but not going all that way to watch practice.

Anyone on here been lucky enough to be selected for tickets?

No, my wife tried for 2 months thru every avenue she could and still couldn't get tickets.

Why not? Still get to see all the players and if you get tickets for the Wednesday, then you'll be there for the Par 3 tournament. So you'll still get to boast that you've been to Augusta National, walked the course, and have some fantastic memories and momento's from your visit. And if they allow cameras in on the practice days you'll get some great pics as well!

Plus if you take your clubs you'll be able to get some games on some local courses.

Forgot to say that a mate of mine went a couple of years ago on the Tuesday and Wednesday practice days and said they were brilliant - the players were a bit more relaxed and interacted with the crowd, particularly on 16 and skipping balls over the pond and onto the green. He also raved about the par 3 tournament and how close you could get to the players.

Nah, not for me that.

If I went to watch a practice day at Augusta then still in the area when tournament was on and I could not get in to see the proper action I would be sick as a parrot. But then again everyone is different and each to their own
