Masters Head to Head. The choice is yours

Re: Masters Head to Head. You chose

I'll probably go with Sky and see how the adverts go....

Are either of them a "host" broadcaster or are they both just taking feeds from ESPN? Suppose if they're both just on feeds from elsewhere the amount of golf shown should be the same?

Re: Masters Head to Head. You chose

Sky all the way. Leave it to the professionals rather than the part time twice a year monkeys.

Re: Masters Head to Head. You chose

Reminds me of the old days watching the FA Cup final. BBC or ITV? David Coleman or Brian Moore?

I'm on the fence but it could be a good match up. I think it will depend on how they perform on the day. Will Alliss get all whimsical and misty eyed? Will Butch offer those killer insights into what makes a Masters Champion's swing hold up on the back nine on Sunday?

Golf might interesting as well. :D

Saturday and Sunday sees the BBC and Sky having coverage at the same time I think.

Which will you chose and why?
itl have to be the BBC i could bore you with thousands apon thousands of reasons why this is so .. but i'll sum it up in one , DONT have sky anymore  :(

It will be sky for me. I think they're coverage is great. Only reason I may change is the "Oh Georgia" theme, I 'm already sick of it after watching a few of the pre tournament shows.

I'm guessing that the coverage is from ESPN, and so it will be the same for both.

That leaves non stop adverts, or non stop drivel from Lineker. Tough choice.

Re: Masters Head to Head. You chose

As an old fuddy wuddy, BBC for me too.
I don't like the way the Sky presenters try and speak American.
Peter Aliss and Ken Brown speaking English for me please.

Auntie Beeb.
Only real reason is the adverts - pain in the ass!

4 minutes of adverts per hour...not a big deal.

You must be watching a different Sky to me....don't you mean 4 minutes of adverts every 10 minutes....if they only had 1 ad break per hour we would all be watching Sky but they seem to be having more & more breaks, most of which are to advertise other Sky progarammes or channels.

Nope, Augusta National only allows 4 minutes of adverts per hour. It's one of the conditions of broadcasting it.

I think I can cope!

Up until today they've not really had much golf to show, last night was pretty much a waste of time.During the actual tournament Augusta National only allow 4 minutes per hour of 'non-golf'.

Does anyone know the reason for the Sky 3D viewing starting at 10.30pm some 3 and a half hours after the Sky live coverage programme has started? :D

It's not Sky that has control of the 3D cameras, it's the Master's Host broadcasters in the states so they're controlled by the windows in which they can show it in 3D. Whenever it's available to show in 3D, they will be showing it in 3D, but according to The Masters website, it's only two hours a day.
