Was it just my club or was it busy everywhere. It was heaving this morning and busier than peak Saturday morning. We seemed to have an awful lot of visitors too. I'm guessing most men were kicked out while HID watched the wedding with the caveat that the chores would get done this afternoon

I went out at 6.30pm and the place was packed. I was only going out for 9 or 10 holes so played the 1st,5th,6th,4th and 5th again in order to let back 9 calm down a bit. Cut across from the 5th the second time to the 12th and there were a couple of 2-balls on the tee waiting and a 2-ball on the green. Madness.

We teed off at 11:09 and the course was really busy but the pace of play was excellent, never held up and never being pushed on from behind. 4 hours for a 4 ball.

Very surprised at the number of ladies on the course at that time!!

Monday morning was crazy at ours and we ended up going off the 10th to avoid a long wait. There was still a big queue when we came down the 18th, so that put me off going out this morning! I'm not surprised today was busy as I'm guessing most men used the wedding as an excuse to get out!!

Hell on toast at our place - couple that with the screw-up of our tee time and we only got 9 on the main course (back 9).
Never seen the place so busy.

I got a round in nice and early and it was quite peaceful.

However, when I was walking up the 18th I could see it was packed on tee 1. Two groups waiting while another was teeing off.

I finished around mid-day.

Bedlam at my course. I got there at 07:30 and was told I wouldn't be able to get on until 12:40. Apparently a big golf society had turned up and the club veterans had in their wisdom decided to hold a competition at the same time. In the end I sneaked on to the 17th and played the last two holes a few times before the early birds finally caught up. Ordinarily, I would have gone straight back home but the thought of watching that wedding with the wife and the mother-in-law really didn't appeal.
