Seen enough already and turned it off. Scholes does a Balotelli-on-Song type tackle - nothing! then Ashley Young does yet another dying swan in the box and gets a pen. Joke.

Not defending him/diving in any way.

If he did the same for England in the Euro's this summer will you be complaining....?

Discraceful and im a utd fan.
Did anyone see John Arne Risse last week against chelsea.
Went down when Morales was no where near him[may not have been morales]
Surely a panel can look at these divers, and actually ban them for 3 games.
Im sure if a punishment fitted the crime they would think twice.

Three things required for that strategy to work. 1) All matches to include bozo premiership refs 2) All games to be played at Old Trashford 3) England to be managed by Fergie.

like tevez yesterday, stonewall penalty and got booked for diving haha he refs are a joke at times

The pen was a joke and Young isnt doing himself any favours, however, i empathise with the refs. It doesnt help that these cheating footballers are trying to con them at every junction. Be it a throw in, corner, free kuck or pen, the players need to stop cheating!!!

whe suarez does it he gets cruscified to the point of even genuine fouls the refs wont give it when young does it he get applauded

Funny that as I dont recall threads being started when its Suarez or Gerrard diving or when Tevez dived yesterday or even an outcry in midweek when United were denied a stonewall penalty against Wigan for handball.

These things all happen in every game but why is it that the minute United get a debatable decision we have to have threads about it, there really are a lot of Man United haters on here as opposed to football fans who would like to see diving cut out the game altogether regardless of who it is.

Guys take your anti-United glasses off and you will notice that every team in every league gets dodgy decisions, the reason United seem to get more is that they spend more time on the ball and in the oppositions penalty area than most. Its the law of averages.

And as has previously been said, I cant wait for the outrage if Young does it during the Euros

Am I missing something?

It was a penalty, are folk just peeved that he din't go down a bit less theatrical?

Regardless of how he went down it was a penalty.

Really hope Villa go down but cannot see teams below picking up 6/7 points to catch them, shame.

How was it a penalty contact does not equal a foul, pundits are so busy looking for the smallest contact they have stopped asking if it's actually a foul, and the idiots at the FA have lost all sense of reality

Never, ever a penalty.

People who say there was contact haven't a clue. Football is a contact sport. It's only a foul if it's excessive force. Touching someones leg and flying over isn't a foul. That said, Man Utd were denied a clear penalty for hand ball in the second half and Shay Given cleared handled way outside the box and should've been sent off.

The state of refs and linesman is gutter level now.

The only people to blame are the FA though. They've let a cheating, diving culture to grow. They could stop it within a few weeks if they sorted themselves out. The referee standards have gone downhill since more money has come into the game. Refs like Phil Dowd are a good 2 stone overweight and gets £50k for a part time job. The whole thing needs a big clean up.

In terms of divers, Suarez and Young are the two biggest culprits, just pure cheats. One day they'll get rough justice and will only have themselves to blame.
