Got up at 4 this morning to clouds but no rain. As soon as I headed to course it started tipping it down.
We started at 5 and by the 4th we were soaked. We were in good sprits and had a bit of a laugh and managed to get a bit of decent golf in (where the course allowed).
We finished the round at 0740 so not bad going for a 4 ball. I had a mixed round but was hitting the driver pretty good. Scored 27 points.

As we were about to start second round the course marshall told us they were closing the course as there was just too much water. To be honest we were glad. We gonna give it another go sometime late July or August.

Thought about you as I had a lesson with Paul at 9am and the course was closed. Tough break but it wouldn't have been funny continuing in that weather never mind the course playing long/mud balls etc etc.

Good luck rescheduling...

I know it was the right thing to do. 12 to 18 were in really bad shape. Fairways and greens flooded.

gutted for you mate. Bright side though think of the extra sponsorship you'll raise just for trying to go out in it.
Hope you get to do it when the weather is better (October looks good!!)
