Mac book air and pro differences

Thats probably true. I did have a minor melt down with windows 8 when i couldn't find the home button! Swift download of classic shell sorted that out! I don't like change!

Too used to what you've always had, it's understandable.

Embrace it and make the change, you'll never go back ;)

I got an Air 12 months ago and never looked back , teamed it up with a drive on my home network and that sorted the storage issues for photos and stuff , the speed is brilliant from the start up ,,,,, actually i have looked back but only to smile when friends windows based stuff freezes, locks up and generallly acts up :smirk:

Interested in this and im sure i could research but could you explain what you've got and how you've teamed it up.

I just bought a Western digital My cloud drive , connected it to my wireless router( by cable ) and followed the installation instructions, could not be easier and able to give all the family portions on the drive as well as public areas that we all can see, and able to connect with our iPhones so we can download pics while still on holiday or out of the house. Pretty easy really and quite reasonably priced if you look around , i got the 3Tb for around £100 .

Very interesting, something I should look into further. Cheers for that

I have seen the Mac that I would like from Santa, Missis T is now back from her
" cock holding course" in Brighton so will sit her down once she has had her relaxing bath and discuss it with her.

I will keep you all informed, may well be after our two weeks in Mauritius though.

Many thanks for all the replys, my Mac book pro 13" retina turned up about an hour ago.

fun times thanks to you all.

Intrigued too

Is it backed up anywhere or just a way to access files remotely?

Also intriguing!

Her job is Urology ( outreach ) nurse. Like a district nurse that deals with waterworks problems. Happiest she has ever been. Anyway she has been all over the UK and to Ireland on these urology ( cock holding courses).

Last one was in Brighton of all places. 😳😁

She starts to tell me what they are all about and I just say, "another CHC".

She said the last one was boring but said the most interesting part of the course was " female genital mutilation" which they now have to report if they come across it.

Macbook Pro has an HDMI out and the Air doesn't.

I work in IT - have done for nearly 20 years. I have had my first Macbook Pro for over a year now and it is absolutely fantastic. I won't be going back to a PC any time soon. They are brilliant.

And to Rooter - I thought I had made a huge mistake on day 1 of ownership. I was completely lost and thought I would never get the hang of it. After another day, I was beyond impressed. The design is brilliant on the UI.

These days, on the rare occasions that I have to use a Windows machine, I am frustrated by the clunky, unfriendly interface and slow speed!

Macs are brilliant, but expensive. Better by far than a PC in my view although I didn't have to bear the cost myself as it was a work purchase for me.

OMG!! I thought she kept chickens...

Yes you can back up remotely i think as long as you can connect over the interweb , also the Iphone app is pretty nifty as well .The drive software has plenty of usefull bits as well.

Sorry. What I meant was;

Is the drive itself backed up? If it packs in, do I lose all data stored on it?

Thanks for answering initial question!
