Apologies if this has been discussed before.

Lynx the manufacturer is making a big time return to golf, and not just in the sports direct budget end of the game apparently.

I have no real knowledge of their quality before their demise, I wasn't a golfer in my teens or twenties as I was to busy with martial arts and motorbikes. But I do remember seeing a set of Parallax irons and I think a Black Cat Driver in my dads bag in the 90's.

Were they ever a big brand, and can they return to those loft heights if they were.

Had a little look on the website http://www.lynxgolf.co.uk as always being overly busy at work on the odd Saturday I work, so internet trawling for all golf related things and came across them.

They were a decently big brand in the 90s and produced some nice irons. Fred Couples played and endorsed Lynx at the height of his career.

I have to say that the stuff shown on that website does not convince me they will be back to the top tier real soon. Mid-market, maybe.

I tried the Lynx Black Cat Tour Hybrids on sale through ebay and Sports depot at £39.99 and found them to be superb, however i was not impressed with the driver

They did produce some decent irons back in the day, whether the latest incarnation can compete and get market share I'm not sure, would be surprised if the can break into top tier market so as suggested would say its got to be the middle range.

Lynx were the only irons I've owned outside of my current Mizuno's.

I inherited a set of original Lynx Parallax when I starting playing regularly as a junior then upgraded to the Black Cats when they were first released. Awesome irons every which way. The new parallax look awesome.
