Heading down to Lough Erne to play the Faldo course on Friday morning. Cannot wait looks a super track. Any experience of playing this course guys? Any advice?

You will enjoy it it it is a fantastic course. Take plenty ammo ;) hire a buggy the walk between 5 and 6 is a killer. Don't buy anything from the half way house the prices are extortionate if eating after the round nip down to the clubhouse at castle hume

We played it after a week of torrential rail. The fairways drain very well but be carefull in even the light rough- it was very wet.
Pro shop staff extremely helpful

I played there not long after it opened and it was very nice. Good pike fishing on the lough too..

Really? I was advised to walk to oak up the views, the walk will do me no harm. Prepare me for a pint after, thanks for the advice RE Castle Hume.

There is no real views until you get to the top of the hill ;)

Some of the walks between green and tee box are pretty long and arduous, I have walked and taken a buggy. Buggy every time for me.

Was lucky to stay there for a week in summer of 2012 and thought the course was awesome. First round, wind was howling, played it off the black tees and lost 14 balls (more than my stableford points)!!!! Much calmer the other 2 days so finished with respectable scores. Fabulous condition and good fun to play. First few holes a little samey but once you cross the road it's tremendous. Stay on the fairway!! You'll have a great time!

Funny I thought the first few holes were among the best. that's why I never trust course lists ;)

Overrated and overprice for sure , some good holes , rather play the many great links courses in ireland

I enjoyed it , thought it was a good course in good condition , i walked it in a scratch cup and didnt have any problems , i wouldnt be fit in the least , buy a stroke saver , beaut course and you will enjoy it

I was lucky to be given a tour of the course when I stayed at the hotel 3 years ago. This was when I only had an interest in golf and didn't actually play. I cant tell you how excited I am, best of all I got the fees for £30 on a golf tee website! Winner!

For that money it is a bargain IMO. Most of the walking is fine by the way just a few of the walks are a killer might not have helped I walked it when it was touching 30 degrees
