A couple of years ago I was on a work society outing and lost one of my irons on the course due to taking two clubs from the bag around one of the greens and left my 9 iron on the ground. When we finished the day it was late and the pro shop was closed so next day and for a couple of weeks after I phoned up to see if it had been handed in but alas no. I know this sort of thing happens from time to time and they are usually handed into the pro shop. But if they remain unclaimed does anyone know what happens to them ? Are they sold off or just dumped in the skip?

Does anyone know what happens at their club

We will keep them for a couple of months then we will put a notice up giving people a week or so to reclaim what's there after that date they get thrown out. Although this is mainly shoes and clothing, not sure what they do with clubs.

Perhaps locking the stable door after the horse has bolted, but if you take say a wedge and putter from your bag around the green, lay your wedge over the flagstick on the green whilst putting, that way when you replace the flag, you lift the wedge.

What do you do if you have thinned your wedge and thrown it into the hedge? then you putt.. how do you remember to go back to the hedge?

Yep learnt this the hard way!

I lost a pitching wedge in the summer after taking the putter and the wedge to review a shot, no one ever handed it. Thieving B%*!$*&s, what do people do with the these clubs - sell them on ebay?

I did keep an eye on ebay and gumtree to see if the club came up for sale- no joy. I had buy a new wedge at great expense, that taught me a lesson.

my clubs pretty good for handing things in, ive lost a few things and they always turn up in the lost prop bin inthe members locker room.

Throw the flagstick into the same hedge........ DURRGH!!!

Obvious if you think about it :ears:

:D

Winner! throw the flag like a Javelin I assume oh wise one?

No....carefully climb into the same bush that you threw your wedge into and carefully lay the flagstick across it so you don't forget it :D
