Spelt it wrong on the article. It's Stonham Barn. Not in Essex either, it's in Suffolk.

Was the local course to me when I was growing up, I didn't play, but my Dad did and he used to take us down to their range to hit balls. Course is fairly poor. 9-hole very short, only 2 par 4s and the rest are shortish par 3's. Nice for a quick knockabout but overpriced for what it is.

Can't imagine it will catch on. It might at places that only attract beginners but can't imagine it will anywhere else.
